Hey friends! What’s happening?! My name is Ellie and I have been chosen as this week’s Groovy Pet! You may recall my friend, Hank, was last week’s and he described why we’re given this special title. But just to jog your memories, it’s because AWS’ Woofstock is right around the corner. In fact, at the time that I’m typing this, it’s only 17 days away! Wahoo! Having a groovy girl like me there would make it extra special as well. I may be 12 years old, but I still consider myself a spring chicken. You’re only as old as you feel!
Meet Ellie
So, what is there to say about me? Well, I absolutely love attention and consider myself an extrovert. I think the title of Groovy Pet suites me well because I go with the flow and am very easy-going. People have called me a “senior” and that I’m in my “golden years,” but I don’t know if I agree with that. I’m very goofy, playful, and fun-loving and I definitely don’t act my age. I’m ready to show you how fun and lively I really am!
Let’s see, what else? Well, I promise I’m not vain but I did make a list of all my best features. You know, just in case someone asked. I don’t normally show it off but since I’ve been chosen for the blog, here we go!
My best qualities include:

- Being loving and affectionate
- My fun and goofy personality
- I always make friends!
- I’m house trained & crate trained
- I love to snuggle
- Just look how cute I am
- I looove to go for walks!
- I always listen but never gossip
- I’m an adult-only doggie
- Responsible and kind
I mean, I could go on but you get the point! I suppose the last thing I should add to the list is groovy, though. As I mentioned, I was just awarded the title!
The Woofstock Experience
I feel since I am the Groovy Pet of the week that it only makes sense for me to attend Woofstock. After all, it is the grooviest event of the year! I would love more than anything, though, to attend with my family. It would mean the world to me to be adopted by then and walk into the event as a family dog. Festivals are always more fun with your loved ones by your side!
My Woofstock experience would be splashing around in the pools, meeting and greeting everyone, and then trying some of that tasty dog beer. That’s right; there’s going to be beer for dogs like me! Obviously it’s non-alcoholic but they sure do have some tasty flavors like chicken, peanut butter, and pork! If you ask me, that’s what all beer should taste like! I also want to listen to some live tunes and maybe lay down in the warm grass. It’s going to be so much fun and I simply cannot wait! I just hope my family finds me before then. I want more than anything to find my happy home!
