Who is Lilly?

Hello everybody! It’s so nice of you to wander into my blog space and read all about me! My name is Lilly and I’m a beautiful, four-year-old tabby cat. Can you believe I’ve been here at AWS since May?! That’s four whole months of looking for my happy home. I think maybe because I’m such a unique cat, I may not be for everyone. Some people pass me by because I’m too outgoing, too playful, and too strong-willed. These are not bad traits to have, though! I think they make me very admirable, actually. So, who is Lilly? Who is the real me? Well, I’m here to tell you personally!

I’m an athlete.

That’s right. I would describe myself as very athletic and outgoing. I am very agile and quick and like to jump up on things or climb my way through a room. In fact, I also like to use people as my stepping stones sometimes and can jump my way right onto your shoulder. I looove to ride around on shoulders! If you’re not prepared for this, it can be a bit jarring. So, take this as your warning up front— I will be your personal shoulder monkey!

I’m curious.

I am a very curious cat and love to explore my surroundings. I will get into most places and be in or around everything. It’s actually how I make myself comfortable. I know I would be described as an extrovert, but I can still be shy and unsure sometimes. As such, if I’m adopted by you, I would need a lot of time and space to feel comfortable in my new surroundings. I guess that’s why I’m so curious… I want to know what I’m getting into!

I’m loving.

I adore people! I love when people come and visit me and I will always greet them enthusiastically at the door. Again, I usually resort to jumping on their shoulder or climbing up their leg, but I also enjoy simple pets and cuddles. I’m always eager to tell you about my day and I will never say no to a good game of chase! I’m very playful! The only thing is, sometimes I don’t want to be loving all the time. Sometimes I need my space and can become overwhelmed easily. I’m sure you understand. You can never have too much of a good thing!

I’m the main character.

It’s true. I can admit it! Im definitely always writing an adventure story in my head and I’m always the main character. I love to be the center of attention and I like things to go my way. It’s just who I am! That doesn’t mean I don’t love my people, though. As stated above, I adore you humans! It’s just that I feel most comfortable when I can control things around me, like how much attention I receive or when. As such, I would prefer my new home have no small children or other cats. I’m one heroine who doesn’t need a sidekick!

I’m adoptable.

You probably already know, but I am up for adoption at AWS! I have been since May and I can’t believe I went all summer without a home. I am a really beautiful girl who loves so much, I just dance to the beat of my own drum. My perfect people are out there somewhere, I know it! I just need them to be people who ask “who is Lilly?” I need them to be people who really want to get to know me and what I’m all about. I need people who like an athletic, outgoing, strong-willed feline who also likes to snuggle and be carried around. I promise that I will be your loyal, loving, and fabulous new best friend for life. All you have to do is head to AWS and ask, “who is Lilly?!”
