AWS is seeking an experienced individual to coordinate administrative and bookkeeping functions. If you have previous office experience (including 1-2 years bookkeeping), are comfortable various technology platforms and enjoy taking on special projects, we’d love for you to apply to be AWS’ next Administrative Coordinator. This is a full-time position.

If you have experience leading teams and are looking for a diverse, fast-paced work environment, our animal services department could use you! We are seeking an animal services manager to oversee the quality of care, timely flow, and the emotional and physical health of the pets at AWS’ Adoption Center. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people as much as animals and leads by example, whether it be through guest services or daily animal care.

      Be part of an amazing group of life-saving professionals at AWS’ Community Veterinary Clinic! As a non-profit organization, Animal Welfare Society is mission-driven, caring for lost and homeless pets and providing our community’s pet owners access to affordable services and resources so pets and their families stay together and thrive. We are seeking full and part time veterinary assistants to join the Clinic team.

      We are looking for people with excellent people skills, experience in animal handling and a positive attitude to join our team. Adoption Center staff help take care of animals, facilitate adoptions, admit animals into care and provide exceptional customer service for community members and coworkers.       Are you a people person? Do you enjoy engaging with folks of all ages? We are looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator who has solid communication and people management skills. You’ll be interacting with and coordinating schedules for existing volunteers, recruiting new volunteers, representing AWS’ mission, adoptable animals and programming at on-campus and community events.

      Are you a customer service focused individual who enjoys helping people? Support AWS’ mission by serving as the friendly, welcoming face of AWS who represents our mission and the animals in our care. This position is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, comfortable, friendly atmosphere for all guests of AWS and providing adoption counseling to prospective pet families.

      AWS’ Director of Operations leads the operation of the adoption center, veterinary clinic, and training services.  The person in this role ensures quality animal care and enrichment, facilities cleanliness, and excellent customer service.  They are also responsible for quality programming that is in accordance with AWS’ mission, goals, leadership, and resources.

      As Director of Operations, you will:

      • Work collaboratively within all levels of the organization and across departments to cultivate a positive culture and team approach to fulfilling AWS’ mission.
      • Develop, implement, and monitor programs to maintain and improve the standards of humane animal care and customer service to the animals and the community.
      • Direct and supervise adoption center, veterinary clinic, and program staff.
      • Ensure that applicable licensure and certifications are current and annual training requirements are met.
      • Direct the customer service and quality assurance programs.
      • Ensure that facilities are clean, safe, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices.

      Join the administrative team at AWS. AWS is seeking an experienced Director of Administration to ensure that AWS functions at a high level and the operation is running effectively and efficiently.  The person in this role is responsible for day-to-day financial management, human resources, and IT.

      As Director of Administration, you will:

      • Work collaboratively within all levels of the organization and across departments to cultivate a positive culture and team approach to fulfilling AWS’ mission.
      • Support daily operations to ensure financial accountability and operational efficiency.
      • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and purchasing.
      • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors.
      • Maintain business records and ensure compliance with licensing, filing, and reporting requirements.
      • Maintain the organization’s information technology systems and office equipment.
      • Maintain personnel records and manage human resource functions such as employe benefits, insurance compliance, payroll processing/tracking, performance management, and employee relations.

      Join the AWS Community Veterinary Clinic team! What makes the AWS Clinic so special? Financial pressure and stress is limited, so the focus is simply on providing care.       The Clinic Manager is responsible for the daily operation of AWS’ Community Veterinary Clinic and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and laws.  The Clinic Manager maintains the clinic’s schedule, manages inventory, supports the Clinic’s veterinary team, supervises support staff and coordinates with program staff to meet the medical needs of AWS’ animals and the animals of AWS’ clients.    

      An integral part of the Marketing Team, the Marketing Communications Coordinator produces, organizes and implements content across a variety of marketing channels and maintains and improves AWS’ marketing and communication efforts by overseeing website, electronic communications and social media channels.    

      The Client Services Representative (CSR) will assist the Clinic Manager, Veterinary Technicians/Assistants, and Veterinarians in all aspects of Animal Welfare Society’s Community Veterinary Clinic including, but not limited to, client relations via phone, email and in-person, administrative duties, animal care, and office maintenance. The CSR must possess good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, compassion, ability to multitask, a positive attitude, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of AWS’ facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds. This position also oversees safety regulations and compliance.       AWS is seeking an experienced Director of Development & Community Engagement to direct their philanthropic programs, communications and community engagement efforts. The person in this role is responsible for fundraising, public relations, marketing and community engagement programs.

      As Director of Development & Community Engagement, you will:

      • Work collaboratively within all levels of the organization and across departments to cultivate a positive culture and team approach to fulfilling AWS’ mission.
      • Work with the Executive Director to set funding goals and strategies.
      • Oversee all major donor identification, cultivation, and stewardship activities.
      • Facilitate planned giving and work to grow the AWS Legacy Society.
      • Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive donor fulfillment and cultivation program.
      • Write and submit private foundation grant proposals.
      • Development and implement marketing, brand management, and public relations strategy.
      • Oversee community engagement programs and activities including the volunteer program, public appearances and events.

      We are looking for an experienced animal care and people manager to help lead our animal services department. In this role, you would be responsible for management of staff and volunteers, overseeing intake and adoption of animals, as well as guest services. Someone passionate about animal care, client experience, and continuous improvement would be an excellent fit!
