Specialty Programs

These specialty programs are available to certain animal populations. These specialty programs are intended to provide qualified individuals and rescue groups with resources to spay/neuter the dogs and cats in their care.

Mother Spay

If your female dog or cat is expecting or just had babies, we can help! Through our Mother Spay program, we will spay your mother pet and alter her offspring at no cost to you, if you admit the kittens/puppies to AWS for adoption. Mom goes home with you, and we find new homes for her little ones. It’s a win-win situation!  Let us take away the stress of rehoming the pets and the financial burden of spaying Mom. Get the details!

TNR

If you look after a feral cat or if you are the caretaker of a community cat colony, we are here to help you manage your colony and keep those cats who rely on you healthy and safe. For feral and free-roaming cats trapped in Maine, we offer trap-neuter-return (TNR) services at no cost to caretakers. Services include spay neuter surgery, ear tip rabies vaccination, one-time Revolution application. Find out more!

Rescue Partners Program

This brand-new program offers high-volume spay/neuter services to rescues, shelters and community cat programs.  Using HQHVSN, we can alter up to 30 cats or 15 dogs in a day, so count on us to get your dogs and cats ready for adoption. Learn How to Enroll!
